Vaccine Registry (Michigan)

BG: I'm going to be applying for nursing school next year, and there are some vaccine issues that I am sure are going to come up... (not with vaccinating other people, but with my own vaccine status--I was fully vaccinated as a child, but according to their standards, I'm lacking a couple of boosters)

My question is about the vaccine registry though. Who has access to it? Schools and medical professionals, right? Anyone else? If I opt out of it now(for myself) does that erase the information that is already on it? Does it delete my record?

Each state has their own vaccine registry rules. In some states, if you opt out they erase your record...in some states if you opt out you are still totally in there but supposedly only your health care provider is allowed to access it. Someone posted a link a while back to a list of all the states' sites, I'll see if I can find it.

Every one you mentioned can access the registry, and the health department (in case of a breakout) and possibly your insurance company.

If you don't want to get the boosters, try getting titered.
