So happy you like my cord burning blog!!!  It's so easy to do and IMO the cleanest/safest way to "cut" the cord if you want to cut it at all.  I just was in B.... urma and taught a group of medics how to do it and how to teach the traditional birth attendants how to do it since they were using dirty tools or bamboo sticks to sever the cord.
