So I *was* in labor last Thursday

We made it down to the birth center... My contractions were never consistently closer than five minutes apart the entire hour and 45 minute drive. They got consistently stronger, but never all that close together or long in duration... but I was still 7-8cm when we got there.
As soon as we got settled in, things happened pretty quickly. We never got the tub filled. I gave birth on my knees, holding on to the edge of the bed. DH said the MWs were on the floor with flashlights, and it looked like they were fixing a car or something.
So yeah, seven minutes of pushing and I got a rockin' 10lb, 2.5oz, 22in baby boy. Two pounds heavier than DS1 was, longer, with a bigger head, and far less tearing (and nothing requiring stitches)... proof that letting a woman choose her own birth position is a good thing.
