Leftover chinese food- is it okay?

DH and I got Chinese food yesterday (I got veggie fried rice) and I only ate 1/2 of it so I put the rest in the fridge. I was craving the rest of it tonight so I put it in the microwave for 3 min until steaming and ate it... was it safe to eat? Thanks!

What part wouldn't be safe? The chinese food? reheating in the microwave?
I eat leftovers in the microwave all the time....???

As long as it didn't sit out on the counter for a couple hours before you put it in the fridge its fine.

I guess I meant the putting-in-the-fridge and reheating in the microwave.

If you are ever concerned about whether or not you should eat the leftover Chinese food, send some my way and I'll be your official Leftover Chinese Food Quality Control Taster. I have craved it my entire pregnancy along with Mexican food. This baby will have very diverse tastes.

I am normally a VERY relaxed person when it comes to food safety but I have gotten poisoning in the US and once it was from fried rice. I would say that leftover rice is FINE but you should take precautions with it. If not cooked properly the 1st time and then left to sit at room temp for too long, it can produce food poisoning.

That said, I'm SUPER relaxed...I don't refrigerate soups, eat raw eggs, very old leftovers and I think all those food restrictions during pregnancy are BS. I've been living this way my entire adult life - 20 years and I've been sick twice. It was worth it. ;-)

yes, but rice and pasta actually harbor bacteria easier than other foods, but I think that is after days and days

I do this every single day.
