I've read a lot about them but from one Mom to another do they REALLY work? I am very excited to try one if they do! And where is the best place online to buy one??

I don't know if they work as my LO hasn't been through teething yet, but they sure do look cute so we got one. I figure if it helps at all that's a fringe benefit. To be really honest I put it on him more for how it looks and I just hope it works but if it doesn't there are other things (homeopathic remedies, wet washcloths, teething rings, gels, and if it's really bad baby ibuprofin or tylenol) for that.

I do think the one my daughter wears works. She has been wearing it since 3 months old. She is now 6 months old and teething. She shows all the signs of teething except fussiness, so either I have an easy teether or it really helps. Plus I do notice more fussiness if I don't put it back on her after a bath. I also wear an anklet and bracelet myself, and have noticed it helping my arthritis.

I think they do really work. DS2 has been wearing his since 8 weeks and is happy as a clam. He got two teeth at three months and not at 6 months he has three teeth all together. Not a single problem with them!
DS1 never had am amber teething necklace and we had a lot of trouble with his teeth!

I do NOT think they work. I've used the same one (Baltic amber) on two babies now (did not have one for my easy-teething first daughter). I thought it *might* have been working with my middle daughter as she had no teething issues. I started using it on my third daughter around teething time--a week on, a week off, but there was no noticeable difference in her fussiness during the month that she was working on 4 teeth at once.
(The necklace is SUPER cute, though; I still love it!)

Aha, we just got one recently...I was actually wondering the same thing. I don't know how long its supposed to take to "kick in" or if its an instant thing but I don't see any change in Max's moods. He cut a tooth this past week and another one is on its way through and last night he was up every 20 minutes.. No exagerration. I actually feel really stupid for spnding $30 (22 plus shipping) but it is pretty adorable, I must say.

I swear by mine. Elsa has seven teeth and there was a noticeable difference between the first one (before we got it) and the rest.
Even if it's not scientifically proven, I figure it can't hurt so why not try? I'm thinking of getting one for my ankle because I think I've got arthritis in my knee.
I got mine through Inspired by Finn and am very happy.

Is there a worry about babies yanking on them, breaking them, chewing/ choking on the amber? It seems unsafe to sleep with one on at first thought. Any input on these worries?

The necklaces from Inspired By Finn are made especially for small children. They all have breakaway clasps, so they will break off if the necklace gets caught on something or yanked too hard. As well, each bead is individually knotted, so if the necklace does break, there won't be beads everywhere. As far as safety at night goes, Cecilia does wear hers 24/7 (except in the shower) and she really never messes with it at all. It generally lives tucked in under whatever she's wearing.

Oh my goodness! Your baby is so cute!!! And the necklace is adorable. Totally not a waste!

I agree. Some babies teeth in a more difficult manner then other little ones.
I thought about getting one, but never did, and my little guy doesn't seem too stressed by teething. He has bad nights, but not bad weeks, you know?
But I agree, what a beautiful little baby and decoration is not a waste
