When could you feel movement from the outside?

You would think I could remember this, since it is baby #4, but I don't. The kids are anxiously awaiting the day they can feel the baby kick and I am trying to give them an idea.

DH could feel #3 on the outside ~15-16 weeks. Now at 23 weeks, the little guy can make my whole belly shake with his kicks. He's crazy active compared to my twin girls.

For me, by 18 weeks I could easily feel her moving on the inside, by 20 weeks I could feel and see movement on the outside. I'm a pretty "fluffy" person, so ymmv.

I am 21 weeks, and I want to say my hubby and son were able to feel something 1-2 weeks ago.

Probably 17 weeks. He is a strong little bugger.

This time, I didn't notice outside movement until the late 20's. Maybe 27/28? This is my 5th, but it's my first anterior placenta, which is probably a big part of it.

Still, the only one of my kids who is interested in feeling the baby move hasn't been able to. He seems to freeze every time she gets near!

i could from around 23 weeks on with this one, with an anterior placenta

DH was the first other than me to feel her... at 26 weeks, but we werent together before then to try

my kids didnt until the mid 30s week range, not for lack of trying, just lack of participation on her part lol

Yeah, I'd say 20-ish weeks ... maybe 21 or 22.

About 18 weeks. Not long after that we could see movement from the outside, which still fascinates me.

I'm 21 weeks, and still barely feeling anything myself. And I can see in my DDC that I am not the only one. There is no way anyone else would be able to feel the baby at this point.

I think it depends on how your body is set up too. I was a skinny mini (still barely have any fat on top of the bump, its in my butt and thighs) and started feeling him on the inside around 14 1/2 weeks. I wasn't quite sure what it was until a little over 15w though. I may have been able to feel him on the outside at 16w but I wasn't expecting to so I didn't try. By 18 weeks I could see my whole belly jump when he'd kick really hard while I was taking a bath.

Around 20 weeks with all of my pregnancies.

Honestly, I started feeling the VERY occasional barely there kick on the outside at 16 weeks. It really started happening a lot at about 20 weeks I think. Now at 24 weeks it's quite ridiculous. Haha.

However, that's not "normal" to my knowledge. A lot of women don't feel any movement at all until 20 weeks. That's how it was with DS...this one started super early, though.

15-17 weeks, I think. Further in with the second one (anterior placenta).
My first was anterior placenta and it was mid 20s for me and maybe late 20s for DH?

No outside yet with this one (19 weeks) but I have felt some flutters and not a bit stronger movements for the last few weeks.

DH can feel movement already. I am 22 weeks with #2. I think it was around the same time with #1, too. Posterior placenta both times.

Wow! All of these responses seem really early to me! Maybe I'm not remembering right (it's my #4 too...), but I have never felt any movement on the inside until 16 weeks, and certainly no one could feel baby kicking on the outside until 25-30 weeks. All my kiddos have been very active in the womb, and I still have a flat tummy when not preggo...

This is my first pregnancy and I have twins and I did not feel a thing till 21w and it took about another week before i think you could have caught something on the outside, but maybe another week still till the timing worked out good enough that my DH caught on of the kicks.
Now at 26 weeks I feel them round the clock and it's a wonderful full time interaction between the 3 of us.

I have an anterior placenta and could not feel the baby from the outside until at least 26-27 weeks (possibly even a little longer). Even now I very rarely feel him from the outside--mostly from the inside only. I am also overweight, but not by any means enormously so, and I don't really carry much of my extra weight in my abdomen.

There is quite a range! I've been feeling this one on the inside since 9/10 weeks, so I am trying to be patient to feel it on the outside since Dh and the kids are sooooo wanting to feel it.
