My Therapy!

When Kaeleb weaned himself, unexpectedly, at 10 months it was very depressing. I didn't know what to do. I tried everything to get him to come back to the breast for about 2 months. Sometimes it still bothers me a great deal that he won't nurse and every once in a while I will still offer it to him in hopes that he will take it...sad, yes, I know!

Yesterday I had a WIC appointment. When it came time for me to see the nutritionist I noticed that she had taken my advice at our last meeting and put up some more breastfeeding information posters in the waiting room (and she told me that she also put them up throughout the entire building!). She began looking through our file. After a few mintues she looked up and said "I teach a breastfeeding class once a week and I would like to know if you would come speak and tell us your story. I think that you would be an inspiration to other ladies who say that they tried but just couldn't breastfeed" (I had worked with this lady for hours, getting pumps, ect. for my relactation) She also asked me if I would be a phone counselor to help give advice or encouragment to breatfeeding mothers. I am so very excited to be able to help women to achieve what I did. You guys wish me luck!!
