so here's where i'm coming from.
#1) sleep for my kiddo is super important to me. i know it's crucial for development and having worked at daycare/schools and seen how kids sleep less than they do at home, i often wonder what damage this is doing to our kids. sleep deprivation has the same symptoms as ADD and if we are depriving our kids of a little bit of sleep everyday then what is it doing long-term?
#2) i was SAH but it was kind of driving me nuts and i felt like working part-time out of the home would be better for both of us...that we would have a better and more productive afternoon if i worked a little bit in the mornings. i didn't financially have to go back to work. i really don't make that much money.
so anyway, i now teach preschool in the mornings and dd (13 months) is at the same school that i teach at. it really is a great situation in that regard.
however, while at home she takes a morning and afternoon nap, at school they don't take the morning nap.
i was already feeling a little guilty about this but now i'm really starting to wonder since this weekend she's had a really tough time going down for her morning nap. she could just be outgrowing it but she is also screaming tired so i don't think this is the case.
it could just be an off weekend or could daycare be "training" that morning nap out of her????
a friend of mine is having a similar issue with her son but he is closer to 18 months so he might have just naturally dropped the am nap.
ugh. the momma guilt is mounting.
