how long can you keep chicken bones in the freezer?

ok, i roasted a chicken a while back and through part of he carcass in a ziplock freezer bag and put into the freezer thinking i would use it to make stock. It's been a WHILE... like maybe 9 months or possibly longer. Not more than a year. But I'm wondering if i should throw it out or if i could still use it in a stock?

I doubt it would be unsafe, but it may have lost some of its nutritional value. If the seal on the bag was good, and it's not freezer burned, I'd go ahead and use it.

I would still use them.

I'd use them, too. I have used year old soup bones plenty of times.

I'd use it.
