So I'm making this for the first time for dd who has a cold. I put all my ingredients together, including the honey which is supposed to go in at the end, ugh. Is it ok or do I need to start over??
TIA!!!!

eta: nevermind, it was becoming candy, I had to scratch the first batch. Trying again.

I hope your second batch was better and your little one feels better soon.

Mine went really syrupy quite quickly so I thinned it again with water and kept stirring. I didn't add any honey though, just some sugar.

Second batch was great! Mine actually was really runny and is thickening up in the fridge. Tastes sooooo good and I can't believe how easy it was to make my own medicine (and probably how much better it is for us!). I gave it to dd2 today twice and tonight have the humidifier running in their room with some eucalyptus oil in it. Any good books for natural children's remedies?

oooh! sorry you had a rough batch the first time, but so cool that it worked well the 2nd time! I want to make some soon Keep us updated how your DD is doing and how the elderberry works for her! I read recently - sorry can't find the link!? that you can give it every hour or 2-3 hours, so hope that helps!

oooh! found the link - it was a video. I know I like the idea of having something I can give frequently if I want to - and it probably tastes really good, too.
