He and I have been separated since December 21 of last year. Funny, because I remember posting here when we got married in 2008, right after DS1 was born.
Things are great for me and the kids, we are finefinefine... never been happier, actually. I've got a job with plenty of opportunity (soon!) for advancement, and even though we're living in a 2BR apartment, the money is there.
I was actually particularly impressed with myself when I had to go in for emergency surgery and was out of work for an entire month, no pay. Started the job in March, surgery was in August, and was fine. Still playing it safe with the bills, but if it was EX and I with no work for a month, that wouldn't have happened.
So... currently going through the final steps to get this lawyer stuff taken care of. I'd thought of doing the whole divorce without a lawyer, but he's just tooooo financially greedy, and unstable (he just got fired again for the second time in 6 months), and sees DS1 and 2 as little tax credits. It's always all about the money. So done with that. SOOO done.
But anyway, just checking in. I'm sure there are a lot of new people that I haven't met yet, but I'm curious who may pop up on here that I know
