Edible/Nutritious Weeds?

Just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of some edible/ nutritious weeds that I may just be able to go out and pick for salads or to saute or steam. I live in Hawaii, so that may make a difference, but anyone can share their ideas and recipes!

purslane, dandelion, amaranth... these grow around here. I have no idea what you'll find in HI.

I have no idea about HI, but here in VT here is what I may pick for the day:

tender dandelion greens for salad, big ones for soups, and stir fry. Cook brown rice up in minced dandelion greens.

Red clover blossoms cooked in brown rice, or fresh in a salad.

sheep sorrel (heart leaf clovers), fresh in salad. Nice lemony flavor.

Lambs quarter fresh or cooked up. Just like spinach, mild.

And a nice treat or rose hipp, pine needle tea to stop a cold coming on.

The cold is upon us, so it is time for roots too. Time to dig some burdock up...

My yard is full of purslane and lambs quarters. I pick them and toss them in our salads.

I don't know about Hawaii, lambs quarters pretty much everywhere in the continental US. Purslane, dandelion, mallows. Shepherd's Purse is another one if I'm not mistaken. You might want to see if you can find a foraging guide for Hawaii.

I just found out about Verdolagas yesterday. Also known as Mexican Parsley.

What's your yard/lawn situation like? Maybe we can suggest things to seed and encourage?  Not sure what could be easily found on the islands, but I'll be there next month and will keep my eyes open!

Here are some ideas I found from a quick google search:

Those of us on the mainland would be jealous of all the fruit growing year round there.

I had some young pickled japanse knotweed and it was delicious!

I don't know if Hawaii has a problem with that invasive  but around here it's everywhere
