Alternative to the Cocorro?

Thread Starter
My son is nearing the RF height limit on our Cocorro. He is a lightweight 2+ yr old and I'd like to keep him RF for as long as possible (26#, 34"). We do not own a car and rent for occasional shopping trips or long trips to visit grandparents. The Cocorro was a great option since it is easy to carry to the curb and install in any (usually small) vehicle we'd rent. Is there a seat he could sit RF that is light and easy to install in a wide range of cars? I searched the archives and thought that the Scenera or Radian might be options, but they may not be as flexible as I first thought. I'm bummed to be in this situation--we've used this seat 20 times max.

He's almost past the RF limit on the scenera too. And the Radian wieghs a ton and is not easy to install in all cars. Those are the two I have experience with. Someone else will have a seat for you I'm sure.

Most Sceneras RF to 35# and a few (Target exclusives) to 40#. A 26# child has quite a bit of time left to RF in a Scenera.

I'm sorry, lol. I got the kiddo's height and weight reversed.

I have a 26# 35.5" DS who is 2.5 yo... we use a MyRide and we LOVE it. It is a breeze to install in our vibe and very comfy for DS. Some people complain about the deep natural recline, but it works well for us b/c when DS falls asleep in the carseat his head doesn't bob forward.

I think I have heard that the MyRide tends to fit a wide variety of cars really well....

But it's also a pretty bulky seat

I agree that the MR is an easy install, but it is heavy/bulky. The Complete Air with a base shouldn't be a difficult install (the one without isn't bad) and it is lightweight. It'll last your child to booster age, in all likelihood, too.

It doesn't look like it to me, but some other CPSTs swear it does. So, basically, maybe? Sorry.
