pressure to vaccinate - Page 2

I don't talk about my children's vaccine status with my in-laws-perhaps you might consider not talking to them about it

That said, I wouldn't go on the trip with my two month old (vaccinated or not).

I'm another one piping in just to tell you that you aren't a nutjob if you want to travel with your 2 month old. We travel with our twins extensively and started at 3 months of age to visit family across the country (we were living in CA and flew to PA). We've taken them to Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and other places. They aren't vaxed. They breastfed until 18 months, and we tend to rev up our herbs and vitamins before and during trips and follow as good hygiene as possible on the planes and in general.

That being said, my kids HAVE gotten colds from airplanes.

If you want to travel with your babe, I'd just make sure that noone with a cough or a cold was around my kid on the other end.

I completely forgot to recheck and see what everyone said...new mommy brain is not a myth.  We did not end up going to CA bc of our small business start up which was actually perfect timing.  Just after I posted here, I got some articles in the mail from S-MIL and she has since been told to back off.  All this hysteria about the Wakefield scandal will likely start up a new debate but I'm ready.  His findings didn't influence our decision in the first place so why would they now.

Anyway, thanks for the support on such a difficult topic.  It is nice to know that a bunch of moms have my back.  :)
