I was out with my kids today at the park, with DS in an ergo. He started getting hungry so as I was pushing DD on the swing I moved my shirt and latched him on. A minute or so later a woman came over with her husband holding a small baby.
She asked if I was nursing and when I said I was she turned around and said "I told you!" to her husband. He wanted her to use a cover when nursing in public so no one would see anything
. When they saw me latch on DS and continue on with DD she said I was nursing discreetly without a cover and how much more obvious it would have been to see what I was doing if I was fussing with a blanket. He said there was no way I was nursing so she came over to ask.
Seeing me feed DS convinced him you can nurse in public without covers or blankets without flashing the world and he promised to stop pestering her. Then she asked me to show her how to feed in a carrier.
I was pretty happy that I was able to show her AND her husband something new.
