Help with getting over a stubborn cold

I can't seem to shake this cold completely, I've had it for almost a week now. Anyone know of some herbs that help with colds that are also safe to take during pregnancy? Thanks

I've been taking vitamin D throughout this pregnancy and I think it has helped boost my immune system or lessen oncoming colds. I take about 2000 or 3000 IUs a day, but I have heard of other mamas taking more.

I can commisserate, my 3yo has had a cold for 2+ weeks and gave it to me a week ago. I need to call my mw and confirm, but I think I had the okay to take emergen-c during my last pg. It is supposed to help, esp if you take it on the front end of a cold.

At least 500mg of Vit C, more if you can tolerate it (bowel tolerance... will depend on how much your body needs).

Echinacea, but not Goldenseal, is often recommended.

Zinc may or may not be ok/helpful. I'm not sure if this is considered safe.

But I would for sure take C and echinacea. I drank regular echinacea tea last time and just bought more today as I have a mild cold.

Hope you feel better soon.

If your throat hurts gargle w/warm salt water. It will also help w/bacteria a bit.
