What are your little (or big) "lifesavers"? - Page 2

Emergency youtube. When we really need to get something done or I feel like I am going to snap I put on a youtube video. We don't have a TV which is great b/c DD is one of those kids that loves Tv and would probably watch for hours.

I have a love hate relationship with coffee, it's so good but I end up getting headaches when I am on it and needing to drink more and more to get me through the day so when it's cold I drink hot chocolate instead.

Big lifesavers - DH, he's great at parenting and I can leave DS with him without stressing and have me time. He also helps out with chores, and our furkids lots.
Co-sleeping - it's great to be well rested on most days, even though DS nurses a couple of times a night.
Great daycare - we both WOH and I'm so thankful to know that DS is taken care of and loved.
Housecleaner - we finally broke down and have them come every 2 weeks. So great!

Little lifesavers - starbucks chai trip (DS loves flirting with the baristas),
my mei tai and ergo, wireless on my laptop (so I can NAK)

The Ergo. There are still days where DD won't take a nap unless I stick her in there and start vacuuming.

Co-sleeping. Yep, she still wakes up a lot. Don't know what I'd do if I had to get up and go to another room to soothe her back to sleep.

The gym with free drop-in childcare.

Our awesome 13yo and 14yo neighbor kids. They come over to play with DD almost every afternoon and keep her entertained so I can get a few moments of peace, or even just cook dinner without a little "helper." It's like having a couple of mother's helpers, except that playing with her is their idea so I don't have to pay them.

Childcare centre at the gym. I sit in the cafe, drink coffee, read the Internet on my iPad. So worth $15 a week. I really should work out, but this is so much more relaxing...

Fenced in yard with kitchen window overlooking it!

My local library, which has a wonderful, closed off kids playroom. I can take my coffee and iPad in, and sit and have a break while the girls play kitchen and babies.

TV. Yep, I said it. And I'm wearing asbestos underpants so flame away! In moderation, at the right time of the day... sanity saver!
Also, DH (times infinity!), friends, & coffee!
