Q for Writer Mommas

Thread Starter
I had a publisher approach me about writing a book for them, and I'm wondering if I should still hire a literary agent to negotiate a potential deal even though the work of acquiring an interested publisher is already done?

i'm answering because you don't have any responses yet, but i don't have an agent yet myself so i didn't feel qualified to answer earlier. first of all, congratulations! i would get an agent, myself, and it will probably be easier since you have an offer on the table. www.agentquery.com and www.querytracker.com are great sites to research agents that represent what you write.

also, are you a member at the forums of absolutewrite.com? you could ask this question over there and get lots of experienced answers.

will the book be about Traditional Foods?
