Gift idea for toddler after eye surgery.

Hi! The daughter (Alex) of a friend is having eye surgery next week. She is about 2.5. I was thinking of getting a gift for Alex for while she is recovering. I'm not sure about the recovery, how soon before she'll be able to focus with both eyes, etc. She will have stitches.

I was thinking maybe a book on CD, or a fun music CD, or something with different textures, but I'm basically drawing a blank. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Maybe some playdough and/or some playdough "tools' for making different textures, cookie cutters, etc.?

you might post on the special needs board and see if any BDTD moms have ideas.

My 12 year old had surgery on her arm not long ago and received a pillow pal from a friend, and it was the perfect gift for her post-op.
