Yay!!! July 2011 is here!! Roll Call!!! - Page 7

Hi Mamas,

Amy from Northeast PA

SAHM to Ian (3) Married to John 7 yrs

EDD 7-11-11

Using my previous midwife & doula & will be attempting a VBAC in a hospital (Morristown)

I had DS thru IVF but this one just happened.  My period was 2 wks late so I decided to pee on stick.  When I saw the + sign, I was like Duh! of course I pregnant, peeing constantly, tired, feeling weird, craving sauteed kale, etc.  Unfortunately a mere 3 hrs after the plus sign, I was informed that a close friend (a husband & Dad DHs age died).  Talk about having your mind blown.

My concerns are being 41 at EDD (b'day in just a few weeks), being 50 lbs overweight (despite the fact that I eat a healthy diet), still dealing with a herniated lumbar disk, having a VBAC & having our house on the market so we can move closer to my husband's work in Bucks County.  The thought of having to move while pregnant & potentially switching midwives & finding a pro-VBAC hospital seems daunting...but we're not there just yet.  I've also been so freakin cranky lately, I can hardly stand myself.  DH has been working crazy hours & I am just plain exhausted...plus DS is a busy 3 yr old who isn't quite potty trained yet.  It'll all work out right?  I want to feel happy about this but am not 100% there yet.  It feels crazy to be a 41 year old wife & Mom who really wanted a 2nd child & is now overwhelmed & somewhat scared.

Glad to see so many Mamas here.

I'm scared to even type this out.  Like I'm jinxing myself.

I'm Sam and a SAHM/full time student to (soon to be) 5!  I'm due 7/20/11.  We had a m/c in June so I'm very nervous this time around.

Hi!  I'm Copper, from SE Mass.  My edd is 7.30.  This will be #2, although I also have a 12 year old birthson whom I placed in an open adoption, so really my 3rd pregnancy.  My first birth was the whole pitocin/epi/forceps mess.  My second was a beautiful natural birth in a hospital at 42w.  I'm planning a home birth this time, and can't wait!!  So excited to be here!

Never took time to introduce myself! I'm Sarah, mom to 3 already...ages 4, 2 1/2, and just turned 1. We are excited to be expecting #4, but I am always cautious (AKA paranoid and anxious) because I had a mc during my 1st pg back in 2005. Glad to meet you all. Hoping my baby continues to develop well! My EDD is 7/16. We'll be having the baby at midwife owned birth center here in town...just like our other 3 kids.

Hi I'm Becky.

1st time expecting mom from Northern Nevada.  Married to my loving husband Sky for a little over a 1 1/2 years.  I'm 35 and very cautious about all of this.  My sister underwent a series of several mc due to a genetic disorder.  I tested negative but it's still in the back of my mind.  Secondly I was in an accident (broke 3 ribs & tailbone) and was on narcotics for 3 days around that date of conception.

If all goes well my EDD is 7/28/2010 so I may end up in the August DDC as well.

I'm leaving it up to the powers that be.

I'm planning on a home birth but don't know if my insurance will allow it.  Might just do it anyway.  My other option is hospital birth with a midwife.

I'm Amanda from NJ

My EDD is 7/13/10, but I don't have an appointment 'till 12/6 to confirm (though had b/w at 5 weeks and my numbers were good!)

This is my first, just praying for a healthy baby!

Hello Mamas!

I'm Jennifer and I am thrilled to be joining you. After TTC for 7 months, we found out that we did it! EDD is July 21st. This will be my third child (ds 10 yo, dd 8 yo) and my partner's first. After two wonderful hospital water births, we are planning a home water birth. I haven't stopped smiling since I found out!

Hi all. Been getting positives on both cheap and good pg tests for 3 days, so I guess I'll introduce myself. =)

I'm Laura, from Alabama. I'm 24, and this is my 3rd child. Everything about the pregnancy and birth is still very much up in the air right now, but I am hoping to birth anywhere but in the hospital. My EDD is 7/31 going from ovulation date.

I'm Lisa.  I'm 38 and EDD with numero cuatro on 7/31.

DH is Geoff, who is 50 and his son from his first marriage just got married the same week this bean was conceived.

DD#1 is River, who was born 08/29/01 in a hospital (with drugs)

DD#2 is Zoe, who was born 08/22/03 in a hospital but naturally (with a lot of arguing with the nurses)

DS is Hunter, who was born on 08/03/2006 at home (u/c)

See a pattern?  ROFL!

We are planning a homebirth with a midwife this time around.

We are in the process of moving back to NWFL within the next week, so baby #4 will be a true Floridian, although DS lived there since he was a month old (beyond our travels this last year).

Catieface, sending blessings and hugs your way.

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts for you! Please keep us posted, we're thinking about you!

Thank you for the thoughts and kind words.  Went to the hospital this evening after work and hCg dropped from 122 on Sunday, to 14 today so we're pretty definate now.  Luckily, everything has worked its way out as it should and I won't have to go through any kind of invasive ordeal.  Our pregnancy was a HUGE surprise, but we were both so stinkin excited and ready for it to happen.  We decided tonight that we will actively TTC after my next cycle.  That is really helping me to deal with this and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing and supportive partner who has decided that without a doubt, he's ready to be a dad.

Catieface, hugs to you and your partner.  I am so sorry.
