I had a lot of pelvic pressure after this last birth with my 2nd ds. I also had quite a bit of pelvice and vaginal pressure post partum. But since I did have a second degree tear and some bowel issues, I let it go. At my 8 week pp visit with the midwife my uterus position was fine. By the way my ds is almost a year old now.
But on an off I continue to have some minor pressure and a feeling of things just being very loose down there. I will notice it at times after being on my feet for a long time (long walks, hiking, etc). I also always have some bowel issues due to IBS. I don't get constipated, but will have difficult to pass gas. I do try not to strain and really can't anymore anyway, it's just too uncomfortable. But it seems like the last couple of months the vaginal pressure is more frequent and just recently has caused my scar tissue from the tear to feel uncomfortable again.
I'm wondering if I should go to the OB or CNM to get a check up and see what it loooks like, before I get to concerned. I have looked online at some ideas for yoga poses, acupuncture, Mayan abdominal massage and other things besides kegels (obviously not helping). My insurance will cover the OB visit, but won't cover the others until my very large deductible is met. So I'd like to know if I really have this problem before forking out the visit for chiropractic or acupuncture care, kwim.
Any experience or advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks!
