Did you ladies do it yourself or have someone else take care of it? I understand it needs to be in a vodka solutions and under the sun for 4 hours, right? However, baby is due the end of December, and I am not sure if the sun will be out there since it mostly rain here.

Well, my husband is a professional (!), he owns a company that manufactures the world's largest collection of flower (and other) essences, and I was the first person to post about placenta essence to the unassisted childbirth yahoo list all those years ago!. As for your baby's winter birth, I would see how the weather is on his birth date. Our Ds was born in February and the weather wasn't good, which was why he never had a placenta essence, he was also born in the evening, whereas DD was born in September in the early morning so making an essence from the fresh placenta was easy. You also don't need to leave the placenta out for four hours, that is the ideal, but two hours is sufficient if you can get two hours of winter sunshine. Good luck with your upcoming birth.
