Did anyone else get a really early bfp??

I got my bfp last friday but all the due date calculators Ive used say I should be able to get a bfp in the next week or two. Does that mean I ovulated really early?

I took another hpt today just in case I somehow had a false + on friday and it came up as a very dark +.

Also my body is craving protein and fat really badly, which is weird cause Im a total carb person. All I want to eat is eggs and butter.

I think most due date calculators go by day of expected period or day after but a lot of women can get light positives before that. I got a light positive at 9 days post ovulation, so 3 weeks, 2 days pregnant according to the pregnancy calendar. That's pretty early to see a positive but I've heard of people getting them as early as 8 days post O. Most calculators usually say you can test at 4 weeks and get a positive (or two weeks after conception). It could mean you ovulated early if you tested positive outside of that window.

I've been on a mad cleaning spree lately. I'd rather get it done now before I start feeling really horrible. Last night I cleaned out the garage after the kids went to bed and organized most of the baby clothes in bins. We have a big closet in our downstairs bathroom that was a disaster so I cleaned that out today and threw a bunch of stuff out. Both areas my DH seems to have taken over with his stuff. We're all at the tail-end of this sickness but the kids aren't quite back to sleeping normally yet and I REALLY need sleep :yawning

I swear my belly is already looking like a pregnant belly! Maybe this is just what happens after multiple pregnancies, but at this rate I will be in all maternity clothes in a matter of weeks! Yikes!

I got a faint positive 9 dpo with this pregnancy, but was 11 or 12 dpo with my last before I even saw a shred of a line. I think it depends on the sensitivity of the test you are using and how far you are from conception/ovulation.

DH and I have been snapping at each other a lot the last few days. He has been sick and grouchy and I have been pregnant and grouchy and we just keep getting on each other's nerves. I really feel like I need a few days away from him and the kids. I have not yet felt like that since we started our family, but I really think I need a mini-vacation all to myself before this baby comes. It is a pretty unrealistic idea, but at least it gives me something to dream about!

Those of you that sew, that's very cool! I'd love to see pictures of stuff you make! I have sewn a few things, but I'm not very good at it, at all! lol

Tracy- We homeschool! My DD is 6 1/2 and "first grade" and DS is 4 and doesn't do much school-wise. lol I do stuff with him related to letter/number recognition, mostly.

Ohh, you did get an early positive! I got my positive at 10dpo, but I was doubting it (faint line on an internet cheapie) but I knew it was for real at 11dpo (yesterday) when the IC and the FRER showed positive! The IC is darker today too, so that's good!
Isnt it crazy to feel your fundus so early!? I was like that last time! I felt it for the first time at 6wks pregnant (3rd pregnancy), so we'll see what happens this time.

FoxintheSnow- Congrats on your early BFP! It's fun to find out early, but I guess it can kind of make things go slower too. lol
So when are you due?

I am soooo bloated today!
DD is sick...she's been throwing up today. I'm hoping it's a quickie and she's better soon. My fingers are crossed HARD that she doesn't share!

Im due July 13th. I had taken 3 different types of tests when I found out including a digital and they were all +

If I did O early I sure am glad I didn't rely on my chart!

Last Friday would have made you 3 weeks, 2 days if you're due the 13th. + digital tests can take a while to show up though, I didn't get a positive on a digital until 11DPO so it's definitely possible that you ovulated earlier. Did you test prior to Friday?

If I had gone by LMP my due date would be the 29th of June, but I know when I ovulated.

Well I got a negative on Thursday so Friday was the soonest. Oh well its probably best to be in this position if I go post dates in case I feel pressure to induce.

Very true, I think if you only got negatives on Thursday then you may just have more hCG in your system in order to get the positive on the digital, I believe they pick up 50 mIU. That or you're having twins

I had some spotting this morning, but it went away very quickly. It was so little that if you werent looking for it, you would miss it. Of course it freaked me out! but now that it disappears as quickly as it appeared, im doing much better.

My numbers went from 208 last Monday to 1500+ as off this Monday so they're schedualing me for an urgent ultrasound, it should be this week.

Foxinthesnow- I got a super early bfp at only 9dpo, according to ff I shouldn't have tested for another 9 days! I also agree that getting a later dd for drs is a great idea, but then I've had lots of pressure to induce previously!
lmevens- Welcome! I've also been having symptoms very early, that always happened much later in other pregnancies. I can feel the uterus hardening when I go pee in the night (I don't remember that happening until into the third trimester!). Also really bloated!
heavensearth- I'm glad the spotting went away, that is so nerve wracking. Those #'s look pretty good, why are they scheduling an u/s?

Tracy, it is hard work and you really have to dedicate yourself to make enough and then get lucky to find good shows. I have recently rededicated myself as you can see.
I am doing some new shows this year, they are in a town about an hour away from me. There are two in my town that are supposed to be really good but they are full and have long waiting lists. the thrid one in my town is really expensive and not very good - the promoter allows all sorts of imports . Anyway, I usually do a couple in the summer and a couple in the fall/winter. I kinda got away from it last year and earlier this year because it was pretty much impossible to get anything done with Jackson in my hair. But we obviously really need any extra money we can get right now So I am hoping these ones down in Farmington will be good. I make mostly wire wrapped jewelry, pendants and such and this year I'm doing some scrap-type things like gift tags and cards which i am really excited about!!

hehe, some people were teasing me about having twins (dh's mother is a twin)... I said NO WAY!! That's crazy talk!

We are all pretty much cleaned up from Halloween. I am trying not eat all the candy. I am not that hungry yet which is a good thing because I put on about 15 pounds over the last 5-6 months. I was so happy because I had lost all the weight I gained with Jackson (50 lbs ) plus about 15-18 lbs but now I am back to about what I was before I got pregnant with him. I am also really trying (Katie was that you? or Tracy? sorry I can't remember) to gain a more healthy amount this time. I ended up eating a lot of sweets late in pregnancy last time so I am really hoping that being due in July instead of January is going to help with that!

Yep, that's me trying to gain a healthy weight. I was really big into comfort eating with my last pregnancy and I gave myself permission to eat everything because life was really stressful with my DH deploying. I ate a lot of junk. It wasn't until she was 7 or 8 months old that I got myself together and started a workout routine and lost the rest of the baby weight. So far my base weight is 143 and fluctuates up and down a pound or two depending on how bloated I am, I'm focusing on whole foods and healthy fats and proteins since we can't eat dairy because of my kid's allergy. I should probably post this in the exercise thread

I am DESPERATELY craving comfort food! Pasta, cheese, candy, potatoes, etc... I never eat this junk!!! What is wrong with me?? I am also having horrible nausea. Not actually puking yet, but working pretty hard at choking it back. The carbs seem to help for some reason so I am going to work on portion control but eat what sounds most appealing.

I have begun my pre-baby organization binder I hate having to put so much effort into keeping myself on track but really - nothing is getting done around here and I need some kind of plan of attack.

Katie - have you gotten a preview of the new MDC? Do you know when that will start?

Oh man it must have been hard having your dh be away like that! I do the same thing - whenever things aren't going right or I feel a little stressed I want to eat something sugary, or a bag of chips... I'm really trying to focus on eating fruits, veggies and nuts while snacking or even a bit of chicken instead of going for the chips or the ice cream or the soda. Like I said I think it will be so much easier being in the 3rd tri in the spring/summer instead in the middle of holiday season (read:cookie and candy season)! I find it pretty easy to eat well early on but later I kinda tend to loose focus.

Getting organized in a binder is a good idea. I'm the kind of person that plans on paper as well. As far as planning in our world, my DH is in the beginning stages of getting his resume together and will start the job hunt soon. He's being slower about it than I would like. He's going back to the national guard after being on active duty orders for the last three years, and he has to find a job in his field since he doesn't have a full time job with his unit to go back to. I feel like I'm stuck in neutral right now since we don't know where we're moving to, but once we do know it'll be full speed ahead to decide whether we'll buy or rent and all of that good stuff. It's looking like we'll have to travel to look at homes during the end of my third trimester and very soon after the baby is born, which should make it interesting.

~Katie~ We moved from California to Oklahoma and I started a new job 5 weeks before my son was born. It was pretty stressful, but I think it was probably preferable to moving AFTER the baby is born. Though somehow, I get the impression that you will be able to handle it.

The most stressful part now is not having a timeline. I really want to get the whole interview process underway, we at least have an idea where the jobs are which is a plus I guess. We've haven't had to do anything like this before, never bought a house before so I'm mucking my way through trying to learn about that. I'm 37 weeks in early June which doesn't really make me too comfortable with long-distance travel since I have a tendency to start dilating then, it's just figuring out the logistics of securing the job and house and getting the move scheduled around all of that. We have to be out of here no later than the second week in August.
