mamaw/two, im going for an U/S because I was on fertility treatments to conceive, so they look for multiples early on. Im also high risk because I have an autoimmune disease so I end up with way more doctors appointments and U/S than someone who isn't high risk.

My DS was born at Christmas in 2008 (it was -40 outside!), so much like you, this will be a whole new ballgame being in the third tri in the summer.

tracymom1, good for you for starting your binder! you are so organized!!!

Katie, good luck with everything! you are taking on a lot moving/buying a house very pregnant or with a newborn, but I think you'll be able to do it

Katie - do you have to move far away? Or is it just wherever a job for DH pops up? We moved shortly after DD was born - and although it was just across town, it was a challenge to get everything packed and organized with a newborn. My good friend, with her 2 toddlers and newborn baby, decided to move across the country last Monday and left on Friday!! She got a great job offer and couldn't pass it up and her DH just lost his job so they kind of said "what the heck" and made it happen. It is amazing what can happen in such a short amount of time.

Heavensearth - any feelings about multiples??!! Do you have an inkling?

As far as moving, I think we've done it close to 10 times in the last five years. We moved a month after DS was born and then again when he was 7 months and again right before his first birthday, then again when he was 15 months old, and then again right after his second birthday. Some of those were nearby moves and some were across the country and back. The last time we moved the day after Thanksgiving and it was me with the kids and my FIL to help out, it was a nearby move because they relocated my entire neighborhood off post to a gated housing development, but we only had 10 days to complete the entire process of paperwork and scheduling movers and going to transportation briefings and all that garbage.

Originally with this move we thought we would have to hire movers ourselves but luckily the Army covers that portion of it. They'll pack and move our stuff for us.

Tracy - We're really hoping to end up in the DC/MD/VA area but the cost of living is pretty frightening. Those areas are about a 5 hour drive from us (more like 7 when traveling with kids). My DH will likely work in intel analysis or something along those lines for a government agency or private sector homeland security, job prospects are good but the salary has to be adequate because of the cost of living in those areas. He could make 80k a year but that's meager around DC where homes cost $400+ and the cost of living is astronomical.

heavensearth, Thanks I looked at your page and really love your art! The colors and the images are so soothing and interesting to me. Apparently preggo brain is starting already because I mixed up the applications I sent out on tuesday and sent the wrong apps to people O well it will get fixed somehow! I want to hear about your ultrasound (good luck ) when you are done.

Tracy, I just started back with flylady about a month ago and this time I am making that control journal... it is really helping me. I am going to need to redo a lot of my routines when I go back to work in December but hopefully it will help me keep up with the housework and stuff even though I will be working 4 days a week 8-5...

I am actually looking forward to going back to work, I always do. It's a seasonal job in the daycare center at the nearby ski mountain. So Jackson gets to come with me and my dh and I get to snowboard for free. Not as much snowboarding in my future this year though although I will go and take it easy for as long as I can. I just love it so much.

Katie I'm in MD very close to DC! Feel free to PM if there's anything I might be able to answer/help with. We've been in various places in MD for 6 years, DH is from here. The cost of living is insane and the reason we still rent, buying a house is completely out of reach here on one teacher's salary. We can't wait for things to stabilize a bit so we can move out of here! If you do end up here though I have an amazing AP moms group.

That sounds great! He'll most likely be working in Bethesda, I'm definitely going to need advice on good, safe, family friendly neighborhoods should we end up there. So glad to hear about an AP mom group as well!

Anybody have/had a corpus luteum cyst that hurt? I feel like that's what I have going on now and it stinks. Last night after some "adult time" I had uterine pain and I'm guessing the cyst was irritated. I felt a little dizzy afterward which kind of freaked me out. I've had some more pain today that's pretty unpleasant, no bleeding though. It's not likely to rupture this early is it?

Katie, at my U/S today they said that if I felt any pain from it (it was transvaginal) that I should tell them and that ill need to see my doctor. I wonder if the pain you are feeling is something that should be brought to your dr/midwifes attention?

So I had my U/S, they saw the corpus luteum cyst, they said that was a very good sign. Also saw thickening of the lining and a yolk sac. No heartbeat, but they said it was still early. They also couldn't see my right ovary and said that they can't 100% rule out anything going on with it (like an ectopic pregnancy) but that since im having no pain or bleeding now, that they're not concerned. Im supposed to call my doctor tomorrow and see what he wants done next. Im assuming if its nothing, then all is well

I had a CL cyst with my last pregnancy. I had pretty severe intermittent pain for a few weeks. I had an ultrasound and manual exam done to rule out ectopic and all was fine. It was painful - mostly when I was overexerting myself or after having a bowel movement. It usually just gets reabsorbed into your body and does not cause any problems.

And Katie, all that moving makes me tired just reading about it!!! I don't know how you do it!

So happy to hear about everyone's rising hcg levels and positive ultrasounds! I am still keeping my fingers crossed for all our sticky babies!

DH is in a funk tonight so I think I am going to eat some pretzels and veg out in front of the TV. They re-run Star Trek the Next Generation here every night and I have recently found myself actually liking it I have never watched anything Star Trek related in my life... this pregnancy is already changing me in ways I would never have guessed!

I'm going to keep an eye on it and if there's any bleeding or the pain worsens I'm going to go to the ER. I have to go to a military hospital and don't really have a primary care doctor besides my midwife. Right now my lower pelvic area feels tender but not really any localized pain, my whole abdominal wall hurts though like I just did 1000 crunches. When they say every pregnancy is different they aren't kidding because this is throwing me for a loop.

This must be the DH funk night. Mine's annoyed because he has to get up ridiculously early and go on a run tomorrow and then has to wear his dress greens all day. I'm watching Iron Chef

Maybe you are having some round ligament pain, too. When I had this last time I filled up a water bottle with some warm water and placed it on the area where it was most tender. Just a tiny bit of heat really helps (obviously not very warm, of course )

Well, I just finished my lunch of toffee butter popcorn and peanuts. I haven't been able to eat all day and I was finally feeling hungry but nothing sounded appealing. Snacks seemed to do the trick!

The Magic Cabin catalog came in the mail today so I was drooling over that while eating my popcorn. I so wish I could afford to buy my children all sorts of goodies this year for Hanukkah, but the budget only allows for a few small, inexpensive things this time around. Every time I look through Magic Cabin it makes me wish I could transport myself back in time for a little while to innocently play with my full creativity - not yet jaded and stifled by adult life.

Round ligament pain is another thing I thought of. I feel okay today but my abs still really hurt all the way up to my ribcage, but I'm thinking that's because I'm already showing I also started feeling pretty sick though, I forced myself to eat some scrambled eggs in a pita.

I love those catalogs, that one and HearthSong. I really want to get them some active indoor toys for Christmas and they have a lot of good ones plus a lot of good stocking stuffers.

Im glad that you are kinda feeling a bit better today! hopefully the rib pain will go away soon!

oo, I am totally getting some round ligament pain already too!! When I stand up after sitting for awhile I double over again for a minute. And my hips are hurting some at night already too... but I am not sick yet! I think I still have another week or so before that kicks in.

I wish I had time to read this all, but I need to make lunch for the kiddos. Just wanted to say hi I just found out I'm expecting my 3rd. I have 2 little girls. Hubby is deployed and I have no way of reaching him so until he calls me next he still doesn't know. Anyone have a cute idea for telling him?

I'm already feeling a little sick so I'm trying to enjoy the decaf eggnog lattes while I can. This should be interesting trying to handle everything alone this time. Thank God for great neighbors. I think I may need them soon.

And I really think that the more babies you have, the earlier the symptoms begin to appear! Well, the uterus does expand a little faster after your first one so that is probably why we are having the round ligament pain already.

Maybe when your hubby calls you can have one of your little ones tell him the news - everyone seems to like when I put DS on the phone and have his cute little voice say, "we're having another baby!"

I know this sounds backwards, but I just don't like the weekends. DH always works all day on Saturday and usually on Sunday, too. The fun stuff around town is always on the weekends and I would love to be able to plan some outings with him included. Although, tomorrow is my homebirth group meeting and I am very much looking forward to sharing my news with everyone!

Welcome Lisanne! My DH was deployed at the end of my last pregnancy and for the first year of DD's life as well, it's definitely no picnic. Good neighbors are really wonderful to have. When will your DH be coming home? As far as ideas to tell him, does he have access to internet through an MWR center? Maybe a fun picture with your children?

And I really think that the more babies you have, the earlier the symptoms begin to appear! Well, the uterus does expand a little faster after your first one so that is probably why we are having the round ligament pain already.

I definitely agree, I've never had round ligament pain like this so early.

I'm looking forward to next weekend being a long weekend. I feel awful today so I've been laying in the recliner for most of the day. My house needs to be cleaned, it's days like today where a robotic house that cleaned itself would come in handy.
