bad idea to fly?

hi everyone...my husband and i are trying again after m/c at 10 1/2 weeks. we were planning a short vacation over Thanksgiving weekend and now I'm wondering if we should scratch it in case we get lucky and this month's attempt sticks...any thoughts?

I'd be VERY freshly pregnant during the flights and the trip if we do have success, but after a loss I'm especially paranoid.

i would only worry about potential morning sickness... but no one would be too shocked if you got sick on an airplane... just tell them you have motion sickness.
I had 6 total flights during this past pregnancy and know women (including stewardesses and business women) who have had way more with no problems.

Make sure you are well hydrated and get up and move every hour...other than that...have a great time! Best wishes TTC!

i flew cross country directly after a m/c in the 2ww, and then flew back at around 5 weeks pregnant. i'm 14 weeks on wednesday, so i think you should be fine, just do as jenne said and make sure to drink and move around hope you come back with a vacation baby!

Also, try to be a little relaxed about the trying - and not to put your life on hold during that time.

I flew . . .oh, prob twenty times at the end of my first tri, beginning of second (for business) and I mostly just had to make sure I got enough to drink and was eating good procuce! (hard to find in airports sometimes!) I kind of expected to have a resurgence of morning sickness and didn't.

I travel a lot for work and was flying during my miscarriage (not fun), the day I got a positive pregnancy test following the miscarriage, and several times since then (I'm 21 weeks). You don't have anything to worry about....have a good time on your trip, and fingers crossed for successful baby-making!
