Friend moving to Fairbanks possibly, questions

How is it up there? Weather, the town, atmosphere around there. How about homeschooling, shopping, kids activities? What do you like about it? What do you not like about it?

Fairbanks is awesome! Great people, friendly, homeschooling is great, quite, beautiful! The summers are absolutely phenomenal! and the winters, while cold are amazing!

I moved here in October and I love it. If your friend likes small towns, and wonderful and very helpful people than I am sure they will love it here too. :)
