My 20 month old DD has been teething pretty consistently since 1yo, full set of cuspids and 2nd molars are all that haven't come in yet. Her bottom cuspids are already through the gums and the top are almost through. My nipples usually get a little sore when she gets new teeth but this go around has been EXCRUCIATING, to the point that I dread nursing her and cry/scream every time she latches. I am hoping that this will get better as the teeth come in but right now I have a small sore at the base of each nipple. I am using nipple balm and Hylands Teething Gel (helps the pain some) but I have been in pain for a couple weeks now and it is just getting worse. Child-led weaning is very important to me but I'm not sure how much longer I can handle the pain. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
