Before I moved here I had CLEAR and I hated it. It was down about 1 week of the month, if it rained hard, hang it up you werent getting service and I had 2 towers within a mile of my house in METRO atlanta!

I was paying 49.95 for turbo rr then they wanted to up it to 54.95. I called and said I couldn't afford it and asked what other options they had. I ended up with a 32.99/month standard rr. Which I don't seem to have a difference in speed with.

Actually, this prompted me to run a test on my download speed, it's the same as it was when I was paying for "turbo rr". Makes me wonder with them sometimes.

Not the cheapest option here, but the company we wanted.

If we get internet from the local cable company it is the same to get DSL and it is to get the same speed DSL, a landline, and expanded basic cable. It about $80. Right now the only interernet we have is the data plan on DH's cell phone. I would like to either get an wireless card for my laptop about $45-50 or pay the extra $25 to have DH's phone be teethered (make it it own wi-fi network). The teethering thing would only give us internet service if DH's cell phone is at home.

I have to have the phone for net so I pay 37 a month.the net is 15.I don't use the home phone.

Ours is $30 mnth through the phone company, hi-speed.  Works great.  We could have a bit faster package but at our distance we cannot get it any faster anyway.

We pay $30/month for Clear which is available in some major metropolitan areas. It's kind of weird, you arent connecting to a cable or to a phone line, they send you a wireless receiver that you connect to you computer and it picks up the signal from the nearest tower. It's cheap and very fast so I'm happy.
