Odd feeling in cervical area?

I'm 10 weeks now. I started feeling a funny scraping feeling in my cervical area several weeks ago. It's progressed to almost as if I'm feeling the baby moving in that area. This is my third pregnancy. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be what it actually is...but what is it? I don't remember feeling this with the other two. Thanks.

I'm 25 weeks and i have that so bad I actally called my careprovider today. She said the more pregnancies you've had, the more likely you are to have low down, cervical pain because the baby hangs out much lower. It was so bad last night I swear I felt a leg in my vagina! Like the baby had kicked all the way out! She suggested doing hands and knees position or putting a pillow under my butt and lying back so that it gets the baby up higher and away from the cervix when you are having that pain.

Thanks for the response. It doesn't hurt at all at this point (at 10 weeks, the baby isn't very big). If it's the baby, it would reassure me. I guess I just want to make sure since it seems so strange.

I guess I should have added that yes, early in the pregnancy I had what you described and it's only gotten worse/more prominent with movement!! So I guess i'm warning you what you might be looking forward to lol!

Oh ok! Well in that case for now I'll be happy that I guess I'm feeling the baby moving really early. We didn't feel the last one move except for three times so I might just be grateful if it hurts.

I "affectionately" call them cervical punches. I have an anterior placenta this time (my third pregnancy, but first anterior placenta) so much of my early movement was super low, cervical stuff. Now that I'm ~22wks, it gets so intense sometimes that I have to stand up and move around to see if it changes baby's position. I'll have to try Holly's HCP's suggestions and see if that helps.

Heh. As a matter of fact, baby just started doing it right now.

oh no...I'm really hoping that dh and the kids will feel this baby move...and me too. I kind of felt like we missed out on bonding with the last one...I'm hoping my placenta doesn't get in the way this time.

Also wanted to add that the baby made good and sure we bonded at birth but it still wasn't as much fun not being able to feel her move during pregnancy.

I also have an anterior placenta...hmm maybe that *is* part of it. The baby isn't interested in punching it's placenta so it attacks my cervix instead! LOL

And i winced in pain 3 more times this morning. I teach preschool so the kids look at my kind of funny as i'm taking their paintings off the easel and randomly jump up and go "oooh!" lol
