I want to go to bed before LO is ready

Ella used to go to be between 6 and 7pm. But since daylight saving she goes down between 8-9pm and sometimes later. I am really tired at the moment and trying to go to bed earlier but she is just not interested. She is usually still having two naps. One around 11 for about an hour and another between 3-5pm. That one can be up to 2 hours. So I suspect she really only needs one nap but she will fall asleep feeding or in the car if she doesn't have two. The last few nights I have been getting into bed and reading or playing with her as she goes between our room and the lounge - where her Dad usually is. But I am just hanging out for her to go to sleep. I turned out the lights last night and eventually she came to bed and went to sleep but it was after 9pm.

I would also love some alone time with DH and for me so I can get a few things done which are impossible with a toddler around.

Has anyone successfully moved bedtime earlier? How did you do it?

I have moved bedtime a full hour in 15 minute increments. I just start the bedtime routine 15 minuts earlier. After it sticks for a few days I do it again. It takes a while but worked.

What time does she get up?

You are probably going to have to cut out her second nap. She will adjust to one nap and earlier bedtime pretty quickly.

My DS also goes to bed later than I want (usually around 9:30-10) but he is up at 6 AM everyday and only takes one nap (from about 1-2:30 so an hour and a half) so if I want him to go any earlier I'd have to completely skip his nap.. not something I am looking forward to doing just yet..

Okay today she had one nap. she woke after an hour but I fed her back to sleep so she napped for about 3 hours She fed to sleep at 7pm but when I tried to put her down she woke up. I am hoping she will go to sleep in the next wee while. Thanks for your suggestions and hopefully soon I will be getting to bed a little earlier.

Just an update to say that in less than a week by just giving her one nap a day her bedtime has moved ealier by almost an hour and a half. Last night she was asleep at 7:30pm and I had a blissful few hours to spend as I chose. So lovely! So thanks for the help
