We love these wordless seasonal books-

And this one is a favorite as well- The illustrations are beautiful and the text is short.

We're just now getting into the longer Elsa Beskow books.

we love elsa beskow and sybylle von olfers and astrid lindgren. they hold everyones attention (even mine)

i dont know how waldorf they are but i do like eric carle.

we love barefoot books. she loves books that are written for the songs i sing to her.

for ages 2-3 i really take their cue... sometimes my 2.5 year old will stay interested while i read, sometimes we look through the artwork and she points out things/makes a story, etc.

beautiful & interesting artwork is really all i look for these days for her, but im usually also reading to my 5 year old... so involved stories are a major plus.

We like the wordless seasonal books above as well as Elsa Belkow. My LO also loves all of the work of Virginia Lee Burton (themes of nature, industrialization, community), Eric Carle, Frog & Toad, Winnie the Pooh, Jimmy Liao, and some wordless books like Flotsam, Wonder Bear, etc. He also really loves checking out non-fiction titles from our particularly good local library.
