flooring for whole first floor of house - Page 2

We have Brazilian Cherry hardwoods on our first floor - kitchen included. I it. It is a factory/prefinished floor, and it is holding up to the kids and dog just great! For us, there was no other option than hardwood floors.

Here is a picture of our floors around the time we installed.

We got our marmoleum on sale. Our floor is the Click planks and was a discontinued style. I think they just changed how it clicks together. We got it for $3.99/sq ft. I've seen it for that price online, too, but the colors are getting very limited.

How did you care for the floor?
The floors were oak - as they have been for every wood floor we had. I just wet mopped it as needed. No need for chemicals - just water and maybe a touch of vinegar (in very small quantities) or general type of cleaner. It is really easy to take care of.

We have pergo in our current kitchen - installed by the prior owners - and it has gouges from thigns being dropped and there is nothign that can be done about them. BLECH.
