preschooler word power

What great words would make your preschooler's list of top ten everyday vocabulary words ATM?

DD regularly uses these at 2YO:

1. persistant
2. annoying
3. tepid
4. ridiculous
5. confused
6. surface
7. permanent
8. frustrated
9. cooperate
10.medium-sized

Sometimes she sounds odd, but then I think, 'we use those words, and she is learning from us.' So, I am interested in hearing what 'power' words your child has picked up from your daily vocabulary. Maybe, these lists can help me and others broaden the vocabulary we use with our little ones. DD loves words!

DS is 4, so his vocabulary is immense, but these are my faves:
1. Insufficient
2. Photosynthesis
3. Consequences
4. Opaque
5. Disrespectful
6. Stethoscope
7. Camoflage (as a verb)
8. appropriate (usually to tell someone something is not appropriate)
9. Metamorphasis
10. Carnivorous (also her- and omni-)

Interesting. I think those would be quite advanced for a 2 yo, but I am not normally surrounded by english or american speakers, so maybe I'm off target? I rather enjoy the mis-words - the cute wrong ones. I don't encourage it, but I enjoy just the same.

DD is talking a lot. So, for the amount she talks it does not seem that advanced to me. But, yes, I would say these are her top ten (most advanced) vocab words at the moment.

DH used 'surrepticiously' in front of her last night and I swear you could see the wheels turning in her head. I guess it has become a kind of sport in our house to see who can get her to use a new 'big' word. But, it is also neat to see her be able to communicate exactly what she means. And, it is amazing how she can draw meaning from context alone and then use the new word with such confidence immediately.

anj_rn, that is a great list. thanks. 'respect' is a great word to know and use.

DS just turned three and also seems to have a rediculous vocabulary for his age. I love the way they pick things up.

predators
demanding
appropriate
vibrating
"and I was thinking in my head..."
"Can you imagine!"
rediculous
enormous/tremendous/gigantic

Lately it's been...

scuttled
swooped
representation
sciatica
hydogen peroxide
"stand down" (she heard this somewhere and spent a day asking me for examples of how you'd use this, and totally uses it now when she wants you to stop something )
sheaf
nutrients
communicative
stencil

I don't know, I can't recall very well, but I know I stop and laugh sometimes about what funny words she likes to use. Right now she's having fun making up words and using good phrases, too.
