Who is still pregnant? - Page 3

Just to update that babies are coming: quasar had her baby boy! I'll let her update the DDC but I just wanted this thread to know!
Yay quasar!!! Can't wait to hear more details.

Well, I'm here again. It's just past 5 am. More ice cream, too. Helps with the heart burn.

I had contractions all yesterday evening, mostly about 10 minutes apart, but they subsided when I got comfortable in my bed and I actually slept quite well. Should have gone for a 10 km hike instead, darnit This morning I'm having contractions from time to time and they have started shooting into my backside, but they are still not at the level of intensity or frequency that would indicate that this is it. This is a completely different experience from my first when I had nothing but mild cramping until my contractions started with immediate, undeniable intensity.

I so want this baby to arrive today!!! I'm 40+3 or 40+5 based on my EDDs.

Sheashea- I hope it ramps up for you today! Come on baby!

My vagina finally sneezed! I lost my mucous plug! Woohoo! I know it doesn't mean anything about when baby is coming but at least it's progress!

OK, I am totally sitting here giggling now. ;-) Which is good, since I am still pregnant. Yay! I hope it means labor in 24-48 for you.
I got a relatively good night's sleep after bout #47284782 of practice labor last night-- le sigh. But today is the day I dreamed I had the baby last spring-- so here's to dreams coming true, right?

sheashea- I just wanted to tell you that's how my labor started this time. Contractions started on a wednesday night about 9 pm and were 10 minutes apart, I went to bed and was able to get a good nights sleep then the next day I still had mild contractions anywhere from 10-20 minutes apart so I figured it wasnt real. They started coming about 5 minutes apart and were a little more uncomfortable around 6 pm then kind of died out so i was really discouraged. By 10 pm I was definately in labor and by 12 I finally realized "this is it". Our baby was born at 3 am. I hope this is it for you, good luck!! I love your screen name by the way, Shea is my maiden name

wooooo ELV'S to all you mamas! and fingers crossed for some 31st october babies, i would've loved a samhain bubba, but may edd was 3rd oct so i knew it was a no no, ah well hopefully i'll be getting an all hallows treat in the form of reading about your new arrivals!

I'm kinda hoping for a Samhain baby too. My husband is Scottish and their folklore says that a baby born on Samhain will have "second sight" which is clairvoyance. My MIL was telling me about it. She was born there and grew up there and went to school with gas masks while the bombings were going on. So she still remembers a lot of the old school folklore which is so cool to me!!

hehe southernmommie i'm from the uk and half my family is scottish, did you know that a haggis's left front and back legs are shorter than its right ones so it can run round scottish mountains and reach the top faster than any other creature??

hehe

Way to go for everyone who has starting signs of labor I will be thinking about everyone tonight.

I am feeling like I will be preggo forever and it is driving me crazy. I have been having tons of downward pressure for two days now and almost constant cramping/contractions but they are not in any pattern.

I feel like everyone is up my you know what wanting to know if I'm having a contractions or if I think today is the day and constantly asking like I'm not going to tell anyone.

Me too! I had to finally lay down the law with my mom. She was driving me nuts. She even said she was putting her life on hold, waiting for the baby, even though she's not invited to the birth (right after though)! She let it slip that she's been saying no to parties and plans in case I go into labor!! Crazy! Now when anyone asks for updates I just say, I'm doing great and just hanging out. No dilation updates, no crampy updates, no nothing. No one gets anything if they keep asking. It's so frustrating!

I know what you mean. I've stopped answering calls and taking any calls.

corbun's mom- we had no idea what you were talking about. LOL. We called DH's mom and was like "what's a haggis?!" She set us straight. LOL. The Scottish have like a ton of folklore that I don't know about and am still learning about.

Still pregnant.

Not looking like that's going to change very soon.

Feeling very low, disappointed, impatient, and generally have a serious case of the grumpies.

I had strong ctx last night for several hours--they slowed down and I went to bed. Lots of pressure. I woke up with them a few times and just decided to get up. I'm still having some, so I made some RRL tea and am hoping they will turn into something. Please come out, little baby! (or big baby, such as the case may be by now!)
And I hear everyone on the calls. I am so skipping church in the morning whether or not these contractions pick back up again. I don't think I can take another well-meaning person inquiring about how I am still pregnant-- not sure if I will cry or snap at them, but it wouldn't be pretty!

We got something going here. Finally. They are strong and REALLY close together. I hope it's soon!!! (I don't want to say this is it and then have it stop, but this is it!)

yay southermommie I hope you are holding your sweet babe right now! I hope everyone else is doing good as well and starting labor for a rush of Halloween babies!

Happy due date to me, btw!
Come on southernmommie let this be it! We need some Halloween babies in here! ELV's to you!

Happy due date, Harmony! We're at the end! Can you believe it?

I SO want a Halloween baby. Don't think it's going to happen. Ok, I know it's not. My next hope is for a Dia de Los Muertos baby on Tuesday (but then I couldn't vote, so that wouldn't be good).

I hope everyone is doing well and trying to stay patient! Happy Halloween or Blessed Samhain to everyone!

I hope this is it for you, southernmommie!
I am so not patient today! It is snowing and I itch and am just so grouchy. I hope that the snow (which should change into rain soon) clears up before trick-or-treating, because 37 degree rain? not so fun.
We did however dress up "Big Baby" in the little Halloween onesie I had for the baby, and that is a riot. At least someone got to wear it! I could conceivably still have an October baby (with my son, labor didn't get going until 730pm and he was born at 1130) but the odds are going down.
Sorry to make this my personal bitching thread! ;-)
