I have a horse crazed dd and, though not horse related, I found this awesome looking board game when I was perusing a horse gifts website:

I agree with all the people recommending games from Family Pastimes...they are some of our very favorites. Also Blockus, Ingenious, and other strategy type games.

I highly recommend Qwirkle for a game that covers all ages and doesn't take longer than an hour.
