I can't get enough of babywearing - what is your favorite thing about it?

We tried many different types of carriers before we found that an SSC works best for us. My most favorite things about babywearing is the utter closeness between me and my DS, the way he looks at me when I'm talking to him or someone else and the wonderful looks from strangers of "awwww, how sweet" when we're out and about.

I love how RIGHT it feels, you know? Like this is how it's suposed to be.
Also, how much freedom it gives us. We can easily go places that strollers can't and I have my hands free!

the kisses. the cuddling. the convenience... its hard to tell what is my fave really.

Yep, I totally know what you mean. I think DS has only been in a stroller a hand full of times since he's been born. With DS1, I wasn't as in to babywearing as I am now. Boy, did I miss out with him!! I feel like I'm making up for lost time with DS2!

everything! i do not know what i would do without my carriers! ds LIVES in them!

it soothes him, i can breastfeed AND chase after my older two...

plus dh & i share babywearing/toddler wearing...

so dd2 can reconnect and be soothed by being worn.

dh can put her in the ergo and she falls asleep on his chest so fast! soooo sweet.


its also the only way ds stays content with dh for more than 20 minutes.

My favorite thing is that. . . I was able to comfort my son while being sick and be hands free. All he wanted was to be held. My sling gave me the freedom to do what I needed to do and give him what he needed.

My favourite thing is the closeness. My second favourite thing is the convenience, I never need to find lifts or worry about narrow walkways or crowded areas.
