OP - there are tons of sellers on Etsy with really beautiful dolls. I recommend checking out what is available on there. I know a lot of mamas are a bit crazy for the Bambolettas lately, but I hear they are pretty impossible to get. Plus, I think there is something really special about buying a doll from someone who doesn't make them in large quantities. You can just see the amount of care that they put into the doll, they really breathe life into it.

I am madly in love with Bamboletta (just like practically everyone else), but after several months without success, I found an Etsy seller who made me two gorgeous dolls for my girls. Those dolls are really wonderful but when I clicked on the site it wasn't in english. I am confused.

I just ordered a Peppa doll from amazon -- it's a fair trade waldorf doll for your younger set (my dd is 13 months), and it's way less $ than bamboletta or other waldorf options. I figure I'll lure myself in with this one, and then when she's older, I'll make the bigger commitment.

my little boys each have a nova "little friend" and love them. they hold up well to alot of play and are just cute and small enough that they can carry them around and sleep with them. i posted the little gil doll but they have little boy dolls too.

I love Gopita and her dolls- she puts so much love and care into each one. She makes some very unusual and original ones, too. I love her baby Krishna.
