Postive Thoughts Needed :( UPDATE 11/14 now to wait for chromosome testing

I had my ultrasound today, i should have been 7wks 3days, what was visible looked normal but only measured 6wks0days I know i'm not wrong on my dates. They ordered blood work for hcg and progesterone, i'll know the results tomorrow sometime, if that is still climbing i will go for another ultrasound on monday. The one positive is that she said if it was deteriorating that it'd look jagged and it didn't so that is some good news i guess. This baby took 3 years to get pregnant with.

I measered later then I knew was possible too, by 6 days. Same thing happend with my ds. They say that there is 10 days +/_ on the ultrasoud.

With my son's pregnancy i had my first u/s at 7wks3days and he measured right on but i also had a different dr doing the u/s. hmm

Here is the ultrasound picture i got from yesterday... anyone see what i think i'm seeing right under the words 6wk0day it looks like the same thing in the area the midwive measured that has the + signs on it.

Progesterone results…. 7.79 not good at all

my past progesterone results were 15dpo~ 8
22po after being on progesterone for 3 nights ~ 22.79
38dpo~ 7.79

I would assume that but she seemed kinda rushed in what she was doing, she almost had the obgyn come in and check the scan but then decided that she probably wouldn't get a good view/measurment either.

Are you still taking the progesterone? I have never had it but it was my understanding that you take that all first trimester? Was that a vaginal US? My first two were vaginal as they were at 5 weeks and 6.5 weeks and you get a better picture they said.

I'm still taking the progesterone nightly like prescription says to. The ultrasound was done vaginally.

Granted I have no experience w/ early U/S or progesterone, but could you be taking more progesterone? What about adding wild yam cream?

I was thinking the same thing (if she could take more). But your beta is still going up which is a good sign. BTW, what are preg. numbers suppose to be? I have no experience with these. At least no one has ever told me if I had them done if they were

from what i found from one online site progesterone levels in the 1st trimester should range from 9-47.

Are they going to do another US to compare? And I know your feelings about having taken a long time to get preg. We were diag. with secondary infert. almost 8 years ago and went through 2 years of unsucessful infert. treatments before we gave up and adopted. But here I am, totally unexpectedly pregnant at 40! So miracles do happen so just hold tight!

How stressful for you. Did they suggest that more progesterone could help? Or is that something that ceases to be helpful after a certain amount? You'd think I'd know more about this considering I'm on progesterone myself. I want that little one to stick for you.

I'm waiting on a phone call to set up a u/s on monday like she told me she would do if the beta # went up which it did.

I sent a email to the dr saying that i wanted to increase the amount and if i did so with the prescription i have now i could do 1x a morning and 1x a night and then would have to refill by 11/5 before running out and how the script i have now for only 100mg has 2 refills available.

I was on progesterone with my last baby and don't know much about it. But it seems odd to me that it would drop that dramatically while on progesterone. What about talking to your doctor about doing a shot rather then the suppository?
