Hi all,
I've been checking out these forums for a few months, and now that I'm newly pregnant (8 1/2 weeks) and freaking out about everything, I thought I'd join in.

Any others from SW Ohio around here? (Midwife/Dr recs are welcome, still checking out practices in the area).

I'm from Northeast Ohio though, so I can't help with specifics but like PP said, check out the "tribe" sections where you'll find others from you area.

Hello and contratulation on your pregnancy. I know there are one or two mommas from SW ohio on here. I'm in north-central ohio so no help to you about local things.

Thanks, everyone! I will check out the tribal area. SW Ohio definitely isn't the most "crunchy" area but I know there are others like me around!

Are you looking for a hospital birth provider? If so, Dr. Dan Bowen (Bowen Center for Women's Health) is definitely the top choice. He even sees patients for parallel care who are planning a homebirth (openly!). If you are planning a homebirth, there are mws here too, just PM me for more info. There are AP play groups and whatnot around as well. What part of town are you in?
