My first sauerkraut - YUM!

I made my sauerkraut a few weeks ago. I tried a little bit then and it tasted fine. I put it in a jar in the fridge and let it age for about a week. I decided to pull it out and try it for lunch today before subjecting my family to it.

It was great!

I feel so accomplished now.

Grats! I'm glad it worked out for you, my first try at fermented pickles was a total failure

I did sauerkraut and peppers at the same time. Notice there is not thread about my yummy peppers. I thought I was going to :Puke when I opened the jars and smelled those.

Did you use the recipe from NT? I made it few days ago but it doesn't taste well

Me too! I mean, I just made pickles, or tried. They did NOT work out as well as the sauerkraut. I think pickles might just be harder.
