Sandpaper letters--other writing systems

Matt, I know you've done sandpaper letters for the Taiwanese writing system, so I'm especially hoping you'll be able to help with this.

I want to make a set of hiragana sandpaper letters. There's a LOT of overlapped strokes so I'm wondering if I should do anything to distinguish the strokes.

For example
あ (ah)
is three strokes, across, down, big loop. I feel like the two dot method that works to distinguish stroke order for the 1 or 2 strokes used in English might not be enough.

The great thing about the sandpaper letters is once I was shown the stroke order of the sound and did it a few times on the sandpaper letter, I really felt it. Now when I think of that character and how to write it, I really feel it in my fingertips. I wouldn't need any other hints to it on the sandpaper letter itself.

Excellent!

I think I am going to draw in the lines a bit just to make the letters look more like themselves.

in English, I'm starting with the letters that make her name, in hiragana I've made the sounds for "cat".

Okay, now I need to make a different post about sandpaper letters.
