Pain!! Need ideas here

Let me give you some history here.

About 2 months ago I pulled a muscle in my upper arm. I rested it, and it just didn't get better. I set up an appt with my PCM thinking maybe this isn't a pulled muscle. The appt was for 2 weeks later, so that puts the pain at 1 month. The day before the appt, I was reaching for something, heard a pop, and the pain was gone. I cancelled the appt., it had fixed itself. So, about 2days later I was working in the Judaica shop and was trying to get something down from the top shelf and it started to fall, I tensed up and caught it, but at the same time this searing sharp pain went through my arm. I thought, great, I've done something to it again. So, another month has gone by and in that time I have days when I can't open a child proof cap on meds and other days when it doesn't hurt that bad. Well, yesterday, I had to move an air matress from one room to the other and it hurt so badly that I was getting nauseous. I have done something to my arm, and I don't know if it isn't getting better because I'm not resting it enough, or maybe I tore something. The pain feels like someone is cutting off my muscle. It really feels like my arm is falling off. Anyway, I was going to make an appt. again, but we are moving in 2 weeks, dh will be outprocessing the clinic next week, and the closest appt they have that isn't urgent care is after we are supposed to be gone. I don't feel like this is an urgent care issue, so unless it is absolutley necessary, I don't want to go there. Plus, if it is something too bad, then I'm assuming I'm going to need x-rays at the very least. This doesn't seem like a "fix it in one appt" type of thing.

What I need to know, is how to treat this until we get to our new home. I'm on pain meds for my back and they don't seem to have any effect on my arm, it hurts the same regardless. Does this sound familiar to anyone, any suggestions, other than "DON'T USE IT!!" I got that one already, unfortunately, it's hard not to use your arm. LOL

when in doubt, arnica homeopathically will often help even if it doesn't address the issue specifically. What I mean is, there may be a remedy that would do a really good job, but without seeing a practitioner arnica can always be tried.

Beyond that, my best offering would be to consider castor oil packs on the area several times a week and zheng gu shui linament twice a day. It's excellent for pain relief in sprains, strains and even breaks. It's fairly inexpensive, as well. Best of luck!

oh, and it's pricey, but traumeel topically would also probably help. GL!
