RAST test questions

This is a different sort of question...

I actually want a reaction on a RAST test. I think I am allergic to eggs, I eliminated them a few years ago when DS was nursing and he was allergic to them, and when I tried eating them again I got itchy and a little swollen around my mouth. However, once I get sensitized (have some in my diet regularly) then I don't react so overtly.

So my question is, for a RAST test, will I react more if I avoid eggs completely for a couple of weeks? Or does it not matter, if I have a true allergy, it will show up no matter what?

With a true allergy, it should show up no matter what from what my allergist tells me. I had the same question though. I've only noticeably reacted to two things in my adult (bc thats when I got a clue) life - cantaloupe and mustard seeds - and yet i am off the charts on almost all grains, a few nuts, many enviros, and a few other random foods. However, the blood tests came back negative across the board. I was a 5 on peanuts - which never had a reaction to - on my first RAST, and then again a year later, another 5.

It's frustrating and I dont know what to think sometimes.
