where i used to live i would usually see some spooky houses here and there, lots of carved pumpkins on halloween night, lots of regular pumpkins a few weeks before halloween, but at my new house, my block seems to be really into halloween! lights in the windows, lots of pumpkins, lots of cute but not scary decorations ... its so nice since i really like to decorate my house, too

Some people do, some people don't

I have some mums, a few pumpkins, and a small trick or treat sign hanging. That's really it! I mostly just like the flowers/harvest stuff...those huge blow up things completely freak me out.

My place is decorated but in a pretty crappy way. Some pumpkins, a couple of strands of purple and orange lights and two strands of light up skulls over the porch. We plan on going to the after Halloween sales to stock up for next year.

The outside of our house just has some pumpkins on the front step. Inside, it's much more decorated. We have bats and ghosts hanging from the chandlier, my son's ceiling fan, and the curtain rods in the front room. I also have purple lights decorating the mantle, some fall wreaths/garlands around the house, and decorations on some side tables. I love to see all the halloween decor all day long

I don't care for the holiday at all, but my dh does so we compromise. I take the kids trick or treating (which they enjoy) but otherwise ignore the holiday. It works for us. LOL.
