Before I had my son, I never got sick - it happened maybe once a year. He'll be a year old on November 3rd, and this past year I've gotten sick very frequently (he's been sick perhaps 4-5 times, I've been sick a lot more). We both have nasty colds right now - for me it's the second one in three weeks! What's going on? We're vegetarian and we eat a good diet - I cook a lot of indian food and veggie soups, etc. I've started taking vitamins again this past month, though not every day because I forget. He breastfed exclusively for about 7 months, when we started solids, and he's really into food at this point but still nurses a lot, too.
He does not sleep well at night, but I bring him back to bed with me after he wakes up initially, which helps a lot with the sleep deprivation... this is something I didn't do in the beginning, and I nearly keeled over! So, I feel I can't entirely blame my poor immune response on lack of sleep. Has this happened to anyone else? Help please!
