Do you keep a price book?

Thread Starter
I started a price book years ago but never really kept up with it. I know in my head how much I pay for varius items etc. However I'm moving 5 hours away from where I currently live and after a weekend trip, where I went to several grocery stores. I think I am going to set up a price book. A fresh start if you will.

So If you keep a Price book please share:
How do you have it organized?
Do you have an actual book or something online/on the computer?
Anything else you want to add.

Thanks!

Go here.

Then click on the link to the price book template.

That's my system.

After I fill it out, I put it in a page protector and then into my three-ring home management binder. I review it periodically to make a mental note of trends according to the date and place where I bought different items.

I love my price book. It's been a real eye-opener.

To start from scratch, I would keep a little spiral notebook in my purse and jot down the regular price of stuff that you buy in a normal month. After a month or two, you will have visited all the local stores, found which you prefer, etc. Then I would make a quick spreadsheet to tuck in your coupon holder/purse.
