just need some cheering up!

Hey ladies,
I am in need of some definite support! I am 39 weeks with #6, 1 medicated birth, 2 natural hospital, 1 attended hb and 1 uc under my belt. I have prelabored with all of them, usually about 2 weeks of it before things get going then I have had very fast labors, shortest was 45 minutes. So this time I have been prelaboring for the last 4 weeks!! I have bouts of contractions that last for hours, usually during the night, can we say tired mommy, and then everything peters out. I know the baby will come when he/she is ready, I know I am not 'overdue', I have had given birth at 37 to 39 weeks with my 3 boys and going 'over' with my girls by a few days. I am not worried about anything being wrong, baby is now in a great position, my cervix is almost completely effaced and dilated to about 3-4, again pretty usual for me(I am checking myself here). So I need women to tell me it is okay! I am trying not to be over anxious, but I think when I started this prelabor stuff at 35 weeks I got prepared to be done by now. I have had the feeling I would go early this time anyway! Has anyone else experienced this? I am as prepared as I am going to get, I am sick of getting everything ready only to have things peter out! The only difference for me between prelabor and real labor is the baby at the end. I never know if this time will give me a baby in an hour or I will pregnant next week still! My nerves, along with everything else is shot! Thanks in advance for the uplifting thoughts!

That would be tough but you are doing what you need to by letting baby stay and cook in there as long as they need to. Hang in there. I remember having lots of pre-labor with my second. I never had it with my first but found it was completely normal. It was annoying but it's important to hang in there. You can do it!

*hugs*

Try going out somewhere or doing something where it would be really inconvenient for your baby to come, or try NOT getting ready when the contractions hit!

(((HUGS))) Oh I know how that feels! You are SO ready to just get all this over with, right?! LOL! You just want to know one way or the other. It is frustrating, but try to keep your sanity. Soon you will be babymooning and it will be so worth the wait!
