EBF....feel like theres no milk

My daughter will be 3 (12/4).
During the morning she will climb in my bed and if I'm really tired I will let her "nurse" for a few minutes on each side.
She has to have both boobies or we fight lol
Anyways I've tried to self express and NOTHING comes out..so is she just sucking on my boobs for a binker?
I'm very tired of nursing,my boobs are not my own,I don't even like/let my husband touch them (and he loves them lol).
But alas,I want to breatfeed my third child (due 3/10/11),at least for the first six months.
But I feel as if my body will not produce any milk as my daughter cleaned me dry.
Is that even possible?
Am I crazy and am I the only one who feels this way?

Seeing as you are currently pregnant, it is likely that your loss of milk is due to pregnancy. Many toddlers continue nursing despite this diminished supply. Nursing isn't always about nutrition.

The current loss of milk is NOT an indication of how your body responds post birth. It is normal to lose your milk during pregnancy. After delivery of the placenta your body simply starts back up again.

I lost my milk when I got pregnant (DD1 was 18 months) and she continued to (dry) nurse through the entire pregnancy. DD2 was born and my milk came in full force and it is great to have a toddler nursing to help with engorgement.

Your body will make more milk for the baby and the toddler (if you continue to nurse).

Good luck.

That was about the time that DD and I had a chat about how there wasn't any milk left and we had to find a new way to comfort her. I suggested patting her on the back when she needed it and she was good with that.

Oh and when my milk dried up, it felt like the most irritating feeling in the world. I really wanted to jump out of my skin. Now I am nursing #2 (9 mos) and he gets plenty of milk.
