We are planning a trip to visit both Grandmas for 2 weeks. Our daughter (2 yo) sleeps side car (in a 3 sided crib attached to our bed). In the past when we go to grandma's she sleeps with me in the full size bed and dad sleeps on a mat on the floor. We are going for so long this time, I'd like to make dad more comfortable. I think DD would be able to handle a little independence, too. We stayed in a hotel bed once that was not safe for cosleeping and DD slept in a playpen. she thought it was great fun, though it made for a different routine.

Any suggestions/experiences for safe (pvc free) portable toddler-little kid beds?
