cracking nails while nursing, nutrition?

oops, just posted this in nutrition...still learning the message board ropes.
But anyways,
I have cracked two nails all the way down the middle in the last 2 months. I have never done this before and I have certainly stubbed my toe previously.
I had to quit taking my prenatals because I felt it messed with dd's reflux. I have been rather lazy about it and have not replaced those vitamins with anything else (basically she is a sensitive little one and I am scared)
However I am beginning to think that nursing, PPD, stress, etc. is taking a toll on me. I feel more run down than an average new mum.
What should I do mamas? Where would I begin with this? I feel gross and unhealthy and here I am trying to provide adequate nutrition for another without taking care of me!

Resart vitamins. Try a few different brands Also increase protein, especially meats cooked on the bone, lots of keratin. Chicken broth made with whole chickens (cook for hours until the bird falls apart. In the fridge the broth will be firm like jello.)
